Communication therapy

we focus on your goals

A functional approach
to meet your communication needs

We assess using informal and standardised assessment, and develop individualised, functional therapy plans based on the results.

We set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timed) goals together and agree on a plan. This may involve impairment-based therapy, and support strategies and resources such as a communication book or low or high-tech AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

We measure outcomes using a variety of tools and adapt the plan accordingly.

If you are being supported by a multidisciplinary team, we liaise and co-ordinate therapy.

Therapy can be face to face in your home or via teletherapy. Initial assessments are best carried out face to face.

Evidence-based practice (EBP) is key to successful and effective therapy. We ensure EBP by combining the best scientific evidence, your values and our extensive clinical experience.
